Frequently asked questions
What does car leasing with no down payment mean?
That you make no upfront payment to get the car: you start with the first monthly payment. Some offers require a deposit; if so, you'll see it on the car's page before you request anything.
Is car leasing with no down payment more expensive?
The monthly payment is usually somewhat higher because you pay nothing upfront. To compare, add up the total: monthly payment times the number of months plus the down payment, if there is one.
What's the difference between a down payment and a deposit?
The down payment is a payment on account towards the contract. The deposit is a guarantee that is returned at the end if the contract terms are met. That's why we show them separately.
What does the monthly payment include?
It depends on each offer and we show it on the car's page: usually fully comprehensive insurance, maintenance, servicing, roadworthiness inspection (ITV), taxes and roadside assistance. You will also see the insurance excess and whether there is a deposit, so you can compare offers on equal terms.
What happens if I drive more kilometres than agreed?
The extra kilometres are paid at the end of the contract, at the price per kilometre shown in each offer. If you know you will drive more, choose a combination with more km per year: we only show you the ones the provider actually offers.
What documents do I need?
It depends on whether you are a private individual, self-employed or a company. You can see the exact list on each car's page. You upload it from your phone, in My account, whenever suits you; if you already uploaded it for another application, there is no need to do it again.
Do I have to create an account?
No. Your name, phone number and email are enough to get started. We then send you an access link to My account, with no passwords, so you can upload your documents and see where your application stands.
